Okay, if you have 3 days at Lake Garda, you can do a day trip to a beautiful city – Verona. Fall in Love With Verona. Though Verona is not directly located on the lake´s shores, I suggest visiting Verona for a day. Even if you stay in Lake Garda for only three days, make sure to add the city to your Lake Garda itinerary.
Venice airport is often the arrival point for long distance travel: it is not very close to Lake Garda, but if you arrive from afar you may have to land here.. Once again, don’t worry: Venice is very well connected to Verona, so you just need to reach the city of Juliet and Romeo and then continue by train or bus, as we explain in detail in the dedicated pages.

The bus timetables for May are given in #4 and 5 above. From Verona to Malcesine by bus will take around two hours and to enjoy the cable car and Monte Baldo you will need 2-3 hours. The ferry from Malcesine take# between 2.5 to 3 hours so realistically it is not possible to do both in one day from Verona.

Long-standing favourite. Flights to Lake Garda transport you to the largest and most popular of the Italian lakes. Surrounded by a collection of traditional towns, over 90 miles of shoreline, wide open spaces and plenty of culture, there’s lots to see and do while on holiday here.
