Far Cry 3 was better than 4 imo. I like the setting and the story better. To me it feels like much of the same game and shouldn't feel like its lacking too many features. Far Cry Blood Dragon was great too but short if you don't want it to feel too much like 4. I had no interest in Primal.
But the prevailing opinion seems to be that Far Cry 3 is the best. Personally, I like Blood Dragon and 4 better than 3. I think 3 gets a lot of extra credit for being the one that introduced the "modern" FC formula.
The grind for bushman and the gun on it's own are worth it, as the arena progress is tied to your account, not the save game, so the only thing you need to do in the next save game after grinding the 10 arena levels in the previous save game is to do the first yogi & reggie mission and then do 1 arena fight on the side and you have the bushman Poor repetitive combat, lack of customization, boring map. Far cry primal has the same map, but is a superior game. Far cry 5 is objectively better. Far cry 2 has better combat than far cry 4 as well. I can’t even remember far cry 4’s story beats lol. Even for the time it was over shadowed by other games. FC3 is superior because it has a far better story, better characters (both Jason and Vaas are superior to anyone found in this game), and better development and pacing. Jason isn't superior to anybody. One of the absolute worst MC's. But beyond supporting charachters (90% of that being Vaas, 4 does everything better than 3.

The thing is, Far Cry 5 (and New Dawn, although I wouldn't put it equal) is the ONLY Far Cry that truly made me connect with the game and do the side content. Blood Dragon was the worse on that front (still, they didn't have much), then 3 a bit better, then 4 a bit better, and then finally Far Cry 5. (I played 3 first though).

Hi, So I've been waiting to purchase Far Cry 4, trying to see how the game runs on PC versus consoles. I've heard mixed things from both sides, including bugs and various other things so I was wondering if anyone had any more information about either platform and which one I would get the most enjoyment out of.
This game feels more like Ghost Recon: Wildlands than it does a Farcry. Basically this. Yeah the weapons/gun mechanics arent as refined as a GR would require them to be, and there's still the usual amount of Far Cry silly, but it doesn't feel like a far cry so much as it does GR: W. Wow. That’s a huge compliment to FC6.
The names have changed and Far Cry 4's not-Tibet is much more mountainous and visually interesting than Far Cry 3's not-Malaysia. Kyrat has some interesting locations and areas.

Movement (especially climbing and jumping) is more reliable. In 3 it's possible to get blocked trying to jump low cover our through windows but 4 rarely does this. 4 improves syringes, though they're streamlined. The gunplay is noticeably nicer in 4, with better throwables. Autodrive works in 4.

But I think that the ideas that went into making Far Cry 2 were far better than Far Cry 3. It was mainly software glitches that let Far Cry 2 down. When developing Far Cry 3, Ubisoft went off on a tangent from the ideas they had used in Far Cry 2, resulting in a game that very few Far Cry 2 players enjoy.
I am really confused Between Far cry 3 and Far cry 4. Alot of people say that storywise Far cry 3 is best. Graphics wise Far cry 4 is Best. I just checked The trailers and can't differentiate much between the two. That is why i thought why not ask your opinion.
